Presentation

58-year-old female patient presented with:

  • Right side Hemiplegia, Aphasia and Hemineglect
  • NIHSS of 17

The patient was in the mechanical thrombectomy eligibility time window and no IV-tPA was administered.

Imaging confirmed occlusion of left  M1.

THE PROCEDURE
  • The lesion was accessed via the right femoral artery
  • Dr. Gramada and Dr Elmoula used a NeVa Net 4.0 x 30 mm and achieved a TICI 3 level recanalization in a single pass using combination technique with NeVa and a 62-inch ID aspiration catheter
  • Complete recanalization (TICI 3) was achieved in a single pass, within 36 minutes from groin puncture
